The time and effort that it takes to enter some business awards may leave you wondering if it's worth the effort.  However, winning - or even being a runner up could give your small business an enormous boost!

Here are our top 6 reasons why you should bother to enter business awards!

1. Generate Press Coverage & Raise Profile

Winning a business award will generate you lots of FREE local, and possibly national and industry specific press coverage, giving your business great exposure.  Gotta love free PR!

2. Increase Sales

Attract new customers who want to know what all the fuss is about.  New customers will be attracted to your business following the recognition and creditably that winning an award gives you - customers not only want value for money - they want to know that they are working with the best in the industry.

3. Stand out from the Crowd

Winning awards not only get you lots of coverage for your business, it will also set you apart from the competition.  Use your win to differentiate yourself from the competition.

4. Milk it for all it's Worth!

You can continue to reap the rewards of your win long after the awards dinner and your press coverage have been and gone.  Make sure you include your winner’s logo on all company stationary, promotional literature and talk about it on your website!  Remind people why they ought to pick you!

5. Network!

Use the official awards dinner and other events to network with other local businesses.

6. Boost Staff Morale!

An award win is a massive pat on the back for your staff.  Make sure that they feel valued and appreciated for all of their hard work - after all, you wouldn’t have won without them.

Real Life Example

One of Curly Creative's regular clients, the Hoddington Arms pub in Upton Grey recently won Pub of the Year in the 2013 Hampshire Life Food & Drink Awards.  We were all absolutely thrilled with the achievement, which was very well deserved.  Already very popular, the Hoddington Arms has seen the benefit with lots of new customers wanting to try out Hampshire's Pub of the Year!

Client Testimonials

Emma has been absolutely brilliant, from the very first meeting she has gone above and beyond. Every stage has been clearly explained and completed before deadlines, she has been a pleasure to work with. I have no hesitation in using Emma again or recommending her to others.

Caroline Beacon
Owner, Stitched By You

Emma developed our logo, marketing leaflet and then our website. I am really thrilled with all three. Emma listens carefully to what you are wanting to achieve and asks some probing questions to properly understand the business vision. She then interprets this to design and deliver the outputs with wonderful effect. Emma is easy to get on with, provides good advice and is very conscientious (and patient!). I certainly would recommend Curly Creative.

Andrew Martin
Owner, Candy Tours

The quality of Emma's work is very high. Emma is an excellent communicator, with great attention to detail... She really took time to listen and understand my business, before creating a completely new brand identity for me and then a website This is a start up business and working with Emma challenged me to be clear on my objectives and values, which has in turn led to a brand and website that I am delighted with and very proud of... I can't imagine anyone else would do such a good job!

Jessica Green

Emma was friendly, supportive and chatted to me like a friend. She was happy to take all my ideas into account and went out of her way to ensure I was happy with the end result. I will always be using her from now on!
